back from hiatus with a banger known as Dhoom 3

Sorry for the long break everyone who is kind enough to read my blog, with school consuming my life its hard to make time for movies, but I come back from a long hiatus with something I feel passion towards. Sooooo what can I say about Dhoom 3.... not my cup of "chai" to say the least but lets get into the knitty gritty about it so I can help you avoid the torture I went through. Now most of India and the Indian population around the world may have enjoyed this action movie, but lets be real here, it was as flawed as flawed can be. Lets start from the very beginning shall we. The Great Indian Circus is the central plot to the film, however, I'm pretty sure a circus consists of circus animals, clowns... actually here is the wikipedia definition of a circus "circus is a company of performers that may include clownsacrobats, trained animals, trapeze acts, musicians, hooperstightrope walkersjugglersunicyclists and other object manipulation and stunt-oriented artists." I only witnessed one magic trick, some aerialists, and a whole lot of dancing to love songs. You cant call that a circus... thats considered a bollywood stage show -_- FLAW #1. My personal pet peeves include starting an Indian movie off with a song and dance squence and/or having a song and dance sequence RIGHT after an important dramatic scene, this movie was quickly turning sour for me... Aamir Khan is undoubtedly the greatest classic bollywood actor there is, there is no denying that, his acting was outstanding, however, right after he "heists" a bank which didnt include stealing the money but rather making it rain money in Chicago... HE STARTED RANDOMLY DANCING OUT OF NOWHERE, it makes it rather unrealistic that you flee the scene of a crime and then when you are back home you just start dancing with your own backup dancers... FLAW # 2. Lets mosey on over to the intermission which was more predictable than the ball dropping in Time Square in New York CIty on New Years Eve. I dont want to give any major plot points away just in case you decide to watch but lets just say there were continuity mistakes that I can consider another pet peeve. How can one scene show Aamir Khan acting normally but after intermission he isn't anymore?! I'll let you decifer that one on your own. That can be FLAW# 3. Now for the end... spoiler alert*** Abishek Bachchan gets pinned under a motorcycle... he can't get up to fight off Aamir Khan because he is pinned under his bike, then explain to me how magically THE VERY NEXT SCENE
he is chasing Aamir Khan on his bike FLAW # 4 -_________- like WTFFF do Indian directors have a brain... how stupid can you be to make SUCH AN UNREALISTIC FILM!!!! The entire time I contemplated taking a nap because I couldn't bear to watch. I have nothing positive to say about this movie other than the fact that shitty actress Katrina Kaif--who only has her beauty going for her-- didnt really have a major acting part which I considered as a late Christmas gift to myself.

This concludes my rant on Dhoom 3, the movie I so passionately hated.

Till next time... :)
